Currently, I am leading three methodological research programs: (1) In-depth exploration of the measurement of theoretical constructs. (2) Technical advancements in two core domains of structural equation modeling – factor-based and component-based approaches. (3) Pioneering integration of structural equation modeling with deep learning artificial neural networks. As a Ph.D. student in my lab, you will delve deeply into some of these research trajectories over a period of five years, gaining intensive training in the development, testing, and implementation of sophisticated quantitative methods. Alongside, you will have the opportunity to engage in collaborative empirical research spanning diverse fields including but not limited to psychology, business, genetics, neuro-imaging, and linguistics.

Preference will be given to candidates who have completed coursework in mathematics (e.g., linear algebra, calculus, and analysis), statistics (e.g., probability theory and mathematical statistics), quantitative psychology (e.g., factor/component analysis and structural equation modeling), econometrics (e.g., causal inference), computer science (e.g., machine learning), or those with relevant research or programming experience.
