미국 박사 합격 메일을 받았는데, 세부 조건에 대해 질문이 있습니다.

안녕하세요.
2023년 가을 학기를 목표로 미국 박사과정에 지원 중인데, 오늘 첫 합격 소식을 받았습니다!

그런데 미국 유학 생활에 대해 아는 게 거의 없다보니, 펀딩 관련해서 궁금한 부분이 있어 질문을 드립니다.

합격 통지서에 따르면,
"As noted by the Director, all doctoral students who are admitted to the program with an offer of financial support are typically funded for 4-5 years from the time of admission. The School is initially offering a half-time assistantship for the period from August 16, 2023 through May 15, 2024."라고 하는데요,

이런 식으로 우선 첫 해에 대해서만 펀딩을 제안하는 경우, 나머지 기간 동안의 펀딩은 어떻게 되는 것인가요?
