PhD positions at U of Cincinnati: 3D printing for heterogeneous integration and 3D integrated

Yeongin Kim Research Group in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Cincinnati seeks for passionate PhD students.

1. Project overview
This project includes one of following areas: 1) additive manufacturing based on gas precursors; 2) chip-less wireless wearable sensors; 3) hemispherical/infrared image sensors using back-end-of-line processing; and 4) water-splitting electrolyzer for hydrogen production.
The PhD students will work on practical engineering projects based on scientific principles so that the result could be published on high-impact journals and filed for highly-commercializable patents.

2. Requirements
1) A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials sciences, or related fields. The applicants will be admitted to PhD in Electrical Engineering program.
2) Minimum of 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale in their highest degree earned.
3) Tests scores of TOEFL (Minimum 92), IELTS (Minimum 6.5), Duolingo (Minimum 110) and Pearson (Minimum 54). Waivers will be automatically given when their earned degree is from one of the listed countries where English is the official language, or waivers will be considered if the applicant has fulfilled one of the conditions (Waiver information).
4) ETS GRE General Test score is required with the exception of any student that receives their bachelor's (BS) degree from an ABET accredited university in the United States with a GPA of 3.0+. Although GRE scores are required, the minimum scores are not strictly enforced.
